Description

The healthiest version of condensed milk should contain only 2 ingredients: sugar and fresh milk. If your canned, store-bought condensed milk contains HYDROGENATED OILS, you are in danger of heart disease. Not sure? Read this: http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/transfats/

Some condensed milk also add artificial flavoring/nature identical flavoring, which poses health risks (http://www.ndhealthfacts.org/wiki/Food_Flavourings). Heck, who needs this?

Now if you happen to be living in the Philippines where industrialization is currently being embraced, natural food products are seldom found in the market. Hence, you have to be resourceful to make them yourself.

...and when you are in the supermarket aisle, READ THE LABELS, OR ELSE...

Now lets get healthy. Grab this 2-ingredient all-natural homemade condensed milk...

Ingredients

3⁄4 c
Pure Honey (I recommend raw)
1 c
Fresh milk

Instructions

In a thick, small pot, milk together milk and honey.  Heat at very low heat.  Whisk frequently until the sauce is thick enough (as thick as the commrcial condensed milk).

Pour in your favourite empty glass with lid.  Let cool and refrigerate.

Now grab a cup of coffee or hot cocoa and sweeten with your homemade condensed milk.  Enjoy!
